Reading can help improve your focus, memory, empathy and communication skills which overall allows you to learn new things and help you succeed in work and relationships. However, reading is currently on a decline.
My challenge was to showcase how books hold much more inside than just plain, empty words by creating an entertaining animation along with a poster that would be successful in engaging teenagers.

CHARACTER DESIGN
The outline of the postage stamp represents the journey/ story of the animation, it also reveals how reading books can take you on an adventure in your imagination.
POSTER
The background and the colour palette was kept minimalistic so as to not draw away the focus of the characters.
A combination of repetitive patterns were added to the backgrounds in order to add depth and maintain a simplistic appearance.
Multiple sketches were created to judge which design of each character would work well with each other. The three designed characters, bear, frog and mosquito are the main focus therefore their detailed features and expressions are there to help convey the story better, exaggerated expressions would also make it engaging and visually entertaining.
